The mosque
The Mosque of our village renovated in 1915 is very famous. The Mosques constructed earlier was renovated during the British rule. This mosque became famous because of the grand ‘Kanthoori’ feast taking place annually. People of many communities take part in this. Hindus, Muslims and Sinhalese participate in this.
To depict the unity of the three communities, we can mention the exchange of food items and visits during the festival season

1915 වර්ෂයේ ප‍්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කරන ලද අප ගමෙි පල්ලිය ඉතාමත් ප‍්‍රසිද්ධයි’ මෙය කලින් ඉදිකර තිබූ පල්ලියක්’ ඉංගී‍්‍රසි ජාතිකයින්ගේ ආණ්ඩු කාලයේ දී ප‍්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කර තිබෙනවා’ මෙම පල්ලිය ප‍්‍රසිද්ධවීමට ප‍්‍රධාන හේතුව මෙහි සෑම නිවසක් පාසාම පැවැත්වෙන ප‍්‍රධාන කන්දූරි උත්සවයයි’ මෙම උත්සවයට හින්දු, ඉස්ලාමි, බෞද්ධ වැනි සිය‘ ආගම්කයින් සහභාගි වෙනවා’
ජාතීන් තුනේම සමගිය පිළිබිඹු කිරීමක් වශයෙන් අවුරුදු දවස්වල කෑමබිම බෙදා හදාගැනීම ගමන් බිමන් යාම ආදිය විශේෂයෙන් කිව යුතුය’

1915 புனர் நிர்மாணம் செய்யப்பட்ட எமது ஊர் பள்ளிவாசல் மிகவும் பிரபலமாகவுள்ளது. இது முன்னர் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த பள்ளிவாசலையே ஆங்கிலேயரின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தில் புனர் நிர்மாணம் செய்யப்பட்டது. இப்பள்ளவாசல் பிரபலயமடையக் காரணம் இங்கு வருடார்ந்தம் நடைபெறும். பாரிய கந்தூரி தின விழாகும். இதில் பல இன மக்கள் கலந்து கொள்வார்கள். இந்து, இஸ்லாமியர், சிங்களவர் என்பவர்களாகும்.
மூவின மக்களினதும் ஒற்றுமைத் தன்மை வெளிப்படுத்துவதற்காக பண்டிகை காலங்களில் உணவுப் பரிமாற்றம், போக்குவரத்து செய்தல் என்பவற்றைக் குறிப்பிடலாம்.
