Bomb blast at the mosque
In 2009, ‘Meelathun Nabi’ celebration was conducted in our area in a grand scale and on the day of the celebrations, a sudden bomb blast took place in the morning and many people died. In this bomb blast which made all the people of our area sad, Minister Mahinda Wijesekara who had done extensive service to our area had to fight for his life. People who came from distant areas too participated in this function. Also, Clergy from all ‘Mathrasas’ participated.

2009 වසරේදි මිලාතුන් නබි’ ඉතා ඉහලින් සමරන ලදී. නමුත් උත්සවය දවසේ බෝම්බ ප්‍රහාරයක් එල්ල වුනා. ගොඩක් දෙනක් ගේ ජීවිත නැති වුනා. ගමට ගොඩක් වැඩ කරපු මන්ත්‍රී මහින්ද ජයසේකර ට ගොඩක් හානි සිදු වුනා මෙම බෝම්බ ප්‍රහාරයෙන්.
මෙම උත්සවයට ඈත ප්‍රදේශ වලින් ගොඩක් මිනිසුන් පැමිණිය. මදරසා වලින් සෑම පුජකයෙක් ම මෙම උත්සවයට සහභාගී වුනා

2009 இல் எமது ஊரில் நடைபெற்ற பாரிய மிலாதுன்நபி தின விழாவன்று காலையில் ஏற்பட்ட திடீர் குண்டு வெடிப்பு காரணமாக பலர் இறந்தனர். எமது ஊர் மக்களை சோகத்துக்குள்ளாக்கிய இக் குண்டு வெடிப்பில் எமது ஊருக்கு பெரும் சேவையாற்றியவருமான மந்திரி மகிந்த விNஐசகர என்பவருக்கு உயிருடன் போராட வேண்டிய நிலை ஏற்பட்டது. இவ்விழாவிலே வெளியூர்களிலிருந்து வந்திருந்த மக்களும் கலந்து கொண்டனர். அத்தோடு அனைத்து மதத்ததை சேரந்த மதகுருமார்களும் கலந்து கொண்டிருந்தனர்.
