This is a special Banyan Tree that has been in existence for many years at our village. The special feature of this tree is when Tsunami struck this tree protected many people.
This tree is no longer in existence because the tree had been destroyed due to the storm in 2012. There was a small statue of Lord Buddha in 1967 but now there is a big temple here.

මෙම නුග ගහ බොහෝ වසරක් සිට අපේ ගමේ තිබෙන ගසකි.
සුනාමි ව්‍යසනයේදී බොහෝ දෙනෙක් මෙම ගසට නැග ජීවිත බේරා ගත්තා.
නමුත් මෙම නුග ගස දැන් නැත. 2012 දි විශාල සුලඟකින් මෙම නුග ගස ඇද වැටුනි.
නුග ගස යට ඉතා කුඩාවට තිබූ බුද්ධප්‍රතිපාම 1967 වසරෙන් පසුව විශාල පිලිමයක් ලෙස ඉදි කර ඇත

ஆனால் இம்மரமானது தற்போது இல்லை. ஏனென்றால் 2012ம் ஆண்டு ஏற்பட்ட பாரிய காற்றினால் வீழ்த்தப்பட்டது.
ஆலமரத்துக்கு முன்னால் சிறிதாக அமைந்திருந்த புத்தர் சிலை 1967ம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து தற்போது பெரிய அளவில் உள்ளது.
