Historical description
Asathkapura which was behind the school earlier called Karalwaththai. It derives this name because due to a land dispute many people fought against each other. This is the very reason the place drive this name.

வரலாற்று விளக்கம்
අපගේ පාසලට පසුපසින් ඇති ආසාක්තපුර යන ගම්මානය කලින් කාසල්වත්ත යන නමින් හඳුන්වනු ලැබුවා. ඉඩම් ප්රශ්නයක් නිසා සියලු දෙනා රණ්ඩු වූ බැවින් එම ගමට කචාල්වත්ත යන නම පටබැඳී තිබුණි. ඉන්පසු කාසල්වත්ත යනුවෙන් හදුන්වනු ලැබුනි. දැන් ආශාක්පුර යන නම ලැබී ඇත.

எமது பாடசாலையின் பின்புறமாக உள்ள ஆஸாத்கபுற என்ற இடம் முதலில் கசால்வத்த என்ற பெயரில் இருந்தது. கசால் என்ற பெயர் வரக் காரணம் அங்கு காணிப் பிரச்சினைகளால் எல்லோரும் சண்டை இட்டு மோதிக் கொண்டார்கள். இதனால் கசால் என்ற பெயர் வந்தது. பிறகு கசால்வத்த என்ற பெயர் வந்தது. இப்பொழுது ஆஸாத் புற என்ற பெயரில் சண்டையிலும் இல்லாமல் பெயர் வந்தது.
