Our parents suffered a lot due to the terrorist activities from 1989 – 1990. My mother’s brother also died due to this. This gave a severe pain to my mother and my family. My father went to the forest to cut firewood. There the terrorists killed him. As a result of this the situation of our family became very serious.

අපේ දෙමව්පියන් 1989-1990 දක්වා වූ ත්රස්තවාදි ක්රියාවන්ගෙන් ඉතා පීඩාවට පත් වුනා. මේ නිසා මගේ මවගේ සහෝදරයන්ද මිය ගියා. මෙය මගේ මවටත් පවුලේ අයටත් ඉතාම වේදනාවක් ගෙන දුන්නා. මගේ පියා දර කපන්න කැලෑවට ගියා. එහිදී ත්රස්තවාදීන් ඔහුව ඝාතනය කළා. මේ නිසා අපේ පවුලේ තත්ත්වය ඉතා බැරැරුම් වුණා.

எனது பெற்றோரும் 1989 – 1990 களில் ஏற்பட்ட பயங்கரவாதத்தில் உடைமைகள் உறவுகளை இழந்தார்கள். இதில் எனது தாயின் சகோதரர்கள் இருவர் இறந்துவிட்டார்கள். இது எனது தாயார் உட்பட எனது குடும்பத்தையே கவலையால் ஆழ்த்தியது. இருந்தாலும் சோர்ந்து போகாமல்எனது பெற்றோர் எங்களை வளர்த்தார்கள். எனது தகப்பனார் விறகு வெட்டச் செல்பவர். பயங்கவாதத்தால் தொழிலைச் செய்ய முடியாததால் குடும்ப நிலை மோசமாக இருந்தது.
