I was born and raised by my father with so much of difficulties. I married and lived at Veeracholai, Vathalakulam. I went to labour work and looked after my family.
One day in 1988, we heard some shots. We got to hear that the LTTE and the police were fighting. We ran leaving our belongings, to Veerathidal. We stayed at the mosque for two days. They fed us there. We came to Sinnpalli with the help of Indian Army. We lived there for an year with much difficulties. We didn’t have anywhere to go.
Our relatives told us to build a hut in their land. My three children and all five of us lived there for two years. I saved 20000, working as a labourer and bought a small land. I built a small hut there. My eldest son was scared when he heard the shots fired in 1997. He is still scared to see new people or beggars. He runs to his mother when he sees them. He does all the work but when new people come, he runs to the house. He faces a lot of difficulties through fear.
I didn’t know what to do. I sent my son abroad. It’s almost six months now. With the money he sends and the money I save from the labour work, I completed my house. I didn’t receive any money from the government. I beg you to help my elder son. This is my family story.

எனது குடும்பம்
நான் சம்மாந்துறையில் பிறந்து வளர்த்து பல கஸ்ரத்திற்கு மத்தியில் எங்கள் வாப்பா வளர்த்து வந்தார். நான் கலியாணம் முடிச்சி வீரச்சோலையில ஏத்தாளக்குளத்தில் இருந்தேன். மூலித் தொழிலுக்கு போற அதால வாறத்த வைச்சி குடும்பத்த பாத்து வாறன்.
1988ம் ஆண்டு ஒருநாள் வெடிச்சத்தம் கனக்கா கேட்டுது. அதுக்குப் புறகு கேள்விபட்டோம் பொலிசுக்கும் எல்.ரி.ரி.ஈக்கும் மோதல் என்டு. நாங்கள் எல்லோரும் கத்திக் கொண்டு இஞ்ச உள்ள எல்லாரும் சாமான் ஒன்டும் எடுக்கல போட்ட உடுப்போட குளனிப் பக்கம் ஓடி வீரத்திடலுக்கு போய்ச் சேர்ந்தோம். அங்க பள்ளிவாசலில 2 நாள் இருந்தம். சாப்பாடு தந்தாங்கள். அதுக்குப் புறகு இந்திய இராணுவத்தின் உதவியோட சம்மாந்துறையில சின்னப்பள்ளிக்கு வந்து சேந்தம். அங்கயும் பெரிய நெருக்கடியும் கஷ்டமும் கொட்டிலும் கட்டினாங்கள். சனங்கள் சொந்தகாரர்ட வீட்டையும் இருந்தாங்கள். அங்க இருந்தே ஒரு வருசமாயிற்று. இனியும் இரிக்க ஏலாது என்ன செய்ற இரிக்க வேற இடமும் இல்ல.
அதுக்குப் புறகு ஒரு சொந்தக்காரர்கள் சொன்னாங்கள். எங்கட வளவுல ஒரு பக்கம் குடில் வைச்சி இரியுங்கள். என்ன செய்யற 3 பிள்ளைகள் மொத்தம் 5 பேர். அங்கயும் 2 வருஷத்துக்கிட்ட இருந்தம் கூலி வேலைக்கு போற சாப்பிட்டு செலவுபோக மிச்சம் புடிச்சி கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக சேந்து 20,000 ஒரு சின்ன வளவுத் துண்டு வாங்கினன்.
வளவுக்குள்ள குடில் ஒன்டு வைச்சிக் கொண்டு இருந்தோம். அந்த வெடிச் சத்தத்தில என்ட மூத்த மகன் 87ம் ஆண்டு பிறந்தவன் பயந்து இப்பவும் சனத்தக் கண்டால் புது ஆக்கள் பிச்சக்கார ஆக்களைக் கண்டால் அவங்கட உம்மாகிட்டப் போய் பூந்துக் கொண்டு இருப்பாள். சொன்னது எல்லாம் செய்வாள். ஆரும் வந்து கூப்பிட்டால் ஓடிப் போய் வீட்டுக்குள்ள பூருவான். பயந்து போய் என்ன செய்ர என்டு தெரியாது. புள்ள கடும் கஷ்டம்.
அதுக்கும் பிறகு என்ன செய்வது என்டு தெரியாது. 2016ம் ஆண்டு முதல் மாதம் மூத்த மகன வெளியில அனுப்பிற்றன். இப்ப போய் 6 மாதம் நானும் கூலி வேலைக்கு போய் கிடைக்கிற காச செலவுக்கும் மகன் அனுப்புறத கடனையும் குடுத்துப் போட்டு வீட்டையும் கட்டி முடிக்க வேணும். அரசாங்கத்தால எந்த உதவியும் கிடைக்கல என்ட மூத்த மகனுக்கு ஏதாவது உதவி செய்யுங்கள அதான் எங்கட குடும்ப வரலாறு.
