Now I have 01 girl and 07 boys. 20 years ago my house was burnt. We lived in a small hut. Later my children earned money and built a permanent house.

One of my girls and three of my sons are married now. When my boys got married they did not get dowries. I built a house to my daughter and married her. Other children built houses using their own money and live happily.

There are six members in our family. One died. I am 67 years old. There are 10 children in the family. 02 sisters and 08 brothers. One boy and one girl died. My husband was a fishmonger. We raised 10 children. I helped my husband. My husband died when my youngest child reached 06 years.

My Third son is a tradesman. He visits faraway places as a tradesman. He brings various kinds of good to sell. He once went to Akkraipattu to do business. When he was coming back by bus the bus was stopped by an armed group in Komar and all the passengers were killed except for 01 Muslima and 01 Tamil. Dead bodies were brought to the Army hospital.

After that the dead bodies were handed over to the relatives. Later, the funeral service was done in the church and all the 17 were buried. A relative of a deceased stated that the government paid Rs 20000 per each.

People in this country should live together without ethnic differences like Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim.

I have children. I have 2 grandchildren. All these children should live happily without any sorrows.

The government pays Rs. 3000/- for my child who burnt his legs and Rs. 300/- for me as an ex- gratia payment. From that day up to now my children help me without the support of the government.

It is pleasure to listen to the stories of everybody. My parents have told me many stories. I learned many new things from those stories. I was happy to learn new things.
